Bless Your Art: I Can’t Stop Wanting Things From Art & Soul Creative Co.

When I came across Laura Uy’s Art and Soul Creative Co. website, I was originally drawn there by a single print that I saw (which is featured below). But then I found myself wanting more…and more! I finally reached out to Laura and was both delighted to check out some of her amazing prints and cards in person, and am even more delighted to share some of my faves with you below.

What It Is: There are essentially two streams to what Art and Soul Creative Co. produces: Greeting cards and prints. The former has a bunch of different categories, from the essentials like birthdays and congratulations, to more offbeat choices like encouragement and love / friendship. All of the cards feature a beautiful, whimsical design on the front and a blank inside, and retail for $5.50 a pop. I have to say that I am a huge fan of nerdy puns (do you read this blog?) so naturally, I love the fusion of visuals + wordplays to create designs that simply make you smile; like the ‘Coolest Pop‘ card above or the cheeky ‘Better With Age‘ card for your favourite wino (similar – a really cute cheese-themed card that also tops my list!)

The second category of work is art prints. Within that  you’ll find two general themes; Laura has recently debuted a new travel collection that’s literally inspired by places she’s been to (the adorbs Kyoto ramen bowl was stellar but she’s got some pretty diverse picks in there – like New York or Reykjavik) that’s also constantly being added to as more stamps are added to her passport. The flip side is some beautiful animal prints, which is where this story begins. I came across the Pabu the Spirit Bear print you see above and simply fell in love; the sweet design, metallic touches, and careful artistry made me instantly covet it. Whether added to a nursery or hung as a whimsical piece for your office, the animal prints at Art and Soul Creative Co. are amongst my faves (and I’m not alone – Pabu the Spirit Bear is one of the brand’s best-selling designs).

Who It’s For: Anyone you want to celebrate with via a greeting card. Anyone bitten by the travel bug. Anyone that appreciates a beautiful piece of art designed by a talented Canadian artist.

What It Costs: Cards are $5.50 as I mentioned; prints are 5×7 for $12 or 8×10 for $22.

Where It’s At: Art and Soul Creative Co. cards are sold at a number of retailers in BC, Alberta, and Ontario, with a focus on Vancouver where the line is based out of. You can also order online!

I know you guys are itching to get your hands on some of these goodies – and I’m excited to announce at least one of you will!
